A 12 camera T10-series VICON tracking system, synchronized with two Bonita 720c HD resolution color cameras, and a full green-screen facility enable the study of human and robotic motion. 

The mocap lab is a shared facility of the Perceiving Systems and Autonomous Motion departments.

In addition to traditional VICON software tools like Tracker, Nexus and Blade, Perceiving Systems has developed its own specialized tools for the analysis and animation of motion capture data.

With this system we study human articulated and surface motion, dynamics of soft tissue, breathing and body shape. The facility supports human subject research, data capture, and data analysis.
